Going down with the ship

Friday, May 4, 1945

It’s fitting that an admiral is now head of the German government cause he’s going down with the ship! The Nazis are in a total rout, fleeing to Norway where Quisling is still in charge. Thousands of them fought for places on any boat they could find – fishing boats, rafts, barges. Meanwhile British pilots blasted them from the skies taking down 64 ships. British armored units on the ground racing toward Kiel raked the fugitives with deadly fire from the rear and destroyed thousands of Nazi vehicles. It’s Dunkirk in reverse – but not likely to have the same successful outcome for the Germans as it did for the British.

Light the Sabbath candles.
