Monday, Apr 30, 1945

Il Duce is dead. Yes, Benito Mussolini was shot and his body was dumped in a public square. Cheering crowds kicked and trampled the corpse. Italian reports say he cried, “No, no, no” as he was stood up in front of the firing squad. One by one Axis leaders are removed from the world stage. This was should be over but the Germans continue to bring destruction with their V-2 rockets. Almost 500 people were killed in Antwerp and a British village was smashed.
