Kittens and cats all day long

Thursday, Apr 19, 1945

I finally got stung by a bee. It had to happen sooner or later, Mommy wrote. “It is on her forehead and it swelled up like a lemon. She looks so funny, we have to giggle every time we look at her! But she took it like a soldier and didn’t even whimper. Now I’m waiting for one of the kittens to scratch her good and proper. You should see the way she practically throws them into the dish of milk with a command to ‘eat your mookie.’ They take it from her, and she plays with them all day long.”
