Weird Nazi Weapons

Wednesday, Apr 18, 1945

American and British engineers are calling it “an inventor’s nightmare.” Working at a German proving ground are testing some very lethal looking and weird Nazi weapons. The Allied team figures it will take months to make head or tail of the mass of equipment they’ve found. One is a mammoth armored vehicle. Another looks like a giant corkscrew combined with a giant bottle opener. It has four wheels, each 9 feet tall, and it weighs about 100 tons. The engineers are calling it “The great whats-it.” “It would be funny,” one engineer commented, “except that everything built here was built with the idea of killing people.”
