America stands firm

Mommy and Daddy hardly breathed as they followed President Truman’s first public speech. Truman has pledged to implement FDR’s plans! The Allies won’t pull back from the fight! “That is my duty and I shall not shirk it,” he promised and warned Japan and Germany that we will continue to fight until there is no resistance left. When the speech was over, Mommy and Daddy both exhaled in a burst and smiled.
