President Roosevelt was buried today at his home in Hyde Park after a funeral train brought his body to Washington, DC for a public service service. Meanwhile, Patton’s 3rd Army took another 32 miles on its race to the heart of Germany. Only about 90 miles separate us from the Red Army racing west. The two armies have nearly cut Germany in half. Victory looks about as certain as it can be but Truman won’t reveal his plans until Monday.
