No more K rations

Thursday, Mar 15, 1945

While 100,000 Russians have crossed the Oder River and are headed to Berlin, our GIs seize hills just East of the Rhine. The RAF is doing its part from the air by bombing RR lines into the Ruhr. The Germans are caught in a narrowing pincer. We have such control over former Nazi territory that we can send refrigerated trucks out from Antwerp to the front lines to deliver fresh meat and dairy. This must be a big improvement over k rations.
