“Never trust a woman!”

Monday, Feb. 26, 1945prosser

After yesterday’s excitement, we all had a quiet evening at home. Mommy read Daddy and Grandpa some parts of “Journey Underground” by Flight Officer David G, Prosser. He was shot down in France in 1943 but made it back safe and sound despite a badly injured foot. And you know what advice he got from members of the French Underground? “Never trust a woman!” But it was a woman who took off her own cotton stocking to bind his leg. And another woman who brought him sugar. And another woman who brought him a loaf of bread. So I guess that advice was wrong after all.
