Railway Express and me

Monday, Jan 8, 1945

What excitement! Railway Express came today and took away our suitcases, some screen-shot-2016-12-28-at-6-32-23-pmcardboard boxes, my crib, and my carriage. From now until we leave I sleep in the playpen Grandma and Grandpa keep here. That’s where Mommy stuck me when I tried to help the Railway Express men. About the shipment, she wrote to Daddy, “They think it should get to Denver on Saturday 1/13/45 or Monday 1/15/45. I’m sending it General Delivery so you might call them Saturday and see if it has arrived yet.”
