Friday, Dec. 22, 1944

1944_dec-22_bde_p-17Good news: Eisenhower has declared, “The Foe Will Completely Fail.” Still, we’re melancholy here in Brooklyn. Tonight we’ll feast on Grandma’s challah, gefilte fish, chicken soup, and other goodies. Tomorrow Daddy will drive Mommy and me back to Bridgeport and then return to Camp Ellis while he waits for new orders. Right now, it’s a good day to read comics where life is the way it used to be, before the war.
