The Nazis break through!

The Germans have blasted a 25-mile hole in the First Army line and are now racing into Belgium through the Ardennes Forest. This editorial cartoon in today’s Brooklyn Daily Eagle sums it up.  The house is quiet and tense. Two days ago we could almost believe the war was all over in Europe. Now? Yes, the German war machine still “packs a powerful punch.”
