Together at last

Thursday, Dec. 14, 1944

Daddy has lost a lot of weight and he walks slowly. But he’s here with us at last! He says he still doesn’t know exactly what the Army is going to do with him now that he can’t go overseas. Mommy’s a little upset that he drove all by himself. She says she’ll do the driving tomorrow when we go to spend the next week with his mother in Brooklyn. But for now we’re all so happy to be together celebrating Chanukah all snug as a family.
