Rikki-Tiki-Tavi jumped for joy when he saw me. Grandma and Grandpa hugged me and kissed me. It’s the height of the holiday season for them and they’re very busy but they’re glad to have Mommy and me here. But I heard them whispering to Mommy. The War Refugee Board published reports from three men who escaped a death camp in Poland. They estimated that 1,765,000 Jews have been gassed at Birkenau from April 1942 to April 1944. It’s almost certain now that all Grandma and Grandpa’s friends and family didn’t survive.
