GI Jill

Tuesday, Aug 8, 1944GI Jill

Daddy learned about a great new radio program, Jill’s All-Time Jukebox. The woman who hosts it is actually Martha Wilkerson, not Jill. And Daddy says she’s the Yank answer to Tokyo Rose. Meanwhile, the suitcases are out again. On Thursday, Mommy and I will take a 4 PM train from DC to Connecticut. That means a very late arrival but the train goes straight through. So, no changing trains in Manhattan or having to schlep bags from Pennsylvania Station to Grand Central. Plotters against Hitler hung. Yanks take St. Malo.
