Theresienstadt

Friday, June 23, 1944

The very name strikes fear into our hearts. We hear that the Red Cross visited Theresienstadt today. The Germans claim this is a “showcase” town for the Jews they are deporting from Eastern Europe. We hope the town really is a wonderful new home but we know too much now about what the Germans really are doing to trust them. We will be thinking of the residents of Theresienstadt this Sabbath eve.

Light the Sabbath candles.
