US Foreign Policy in a swamp

1944_Harrisburg_p.12_April 8Monday, April 10, 1944

The Harrisburg Telegraph doesn’t publish a Sunday paper (wartime paper rationing?) so my parents spread out reading the Saturday paper. Today they’re just catching up on world news. The war isn’t over but already some fault lines are emerging as Russia rolls west. What will happen to all those Eastern European countries in their way – Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Roumania, and such? And how will our country align with what happens after the war. It’s all very confusing and far away. I know as much as just about anyone – and I’m a baby!
