Man from Mars holds baby from stars…

Just in time for the coming Sabbath – a picture to send home. Not sure how reassuring this one will be. From the look of it, my father is definitely being readied for a combat zone. That’s his caption for the picture, making light of what it portends. And the news from the European front isn’t good. According to the Harrisburg Telegraph, Secretary of War Stimson admits the Nazis stopped us at Cassino. He also announced 4947 casualties last week. More clues, if we needed them, that my father will soon be posted overseas. At least the Russians are still pushing west. They’re even near the Czech border!
