A woman’s day is never done

Whatever was going on in the outside world, the home in Brooklyn was an oasis of quiet. My grandmother was always busy cooking, cleaning, shopping, and keeping an eye on her brood. When she did have a respite from all this, she had sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She made house dresses, aprons, afghans, and throws.

Light the Sabbath candles.
