“Women Worry More Over Unimportant Items”

The The New York Times headline today is a headscratcher. According to a survey, Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 3.01.20 PMthe shortages women worry about most are: butter, bobbie pins, metal pot scourers, flashlight batteries and safety pins. Didn’t someone realize why women once considered these items critical. Safety pins, for example, were once essential for diapers and sanitary belts. Not in short supply at all are perfumes, “The No. 1 gift” according to Macy’s Christmas ad today. Especially clever is Coty’s packaging of four fragrances on a toboggan. As for the men in your life, get John Ward socks.
