Just wait until YOU are a mother!

Monday, Oct. 4, 1943

Today Lois confessed to her mother: “Well, Ma, at last I can say to you that your prediction has come true. Remember when you used to tell me that I wouldn’t really appreciate you until I had a child of my own? You were so right. I am only a mother for a few weeks and already I can understand a lot of things that I never understood. So please believe me when I say that I am glad you are around to hear me say it. And now I can be sincerely sorry for all the things I have ever done to worry you or distress you. But I am prepared to have the same ordeals with mine, and I will probably tell her what you told me and she will have to wait til she is a mother to know what it’s all about and so on and so on and so on.” Her words are so gracious and so true! Don’t wait til the next Mother’s Day to thank your own mother.
