Anthony Kalinowski was treated today to dinner at a downtown Chicago hotel, a show, and a double-header at Sox Park. In addition to being a veteran of the last war [WWI] and a member of the American Legion, he is a 10 % war bond purchaser, a worker in an essential war industry, a blood donor, and the father of four men in uniform and four other children working in war industries. While Mr. Kalinowski and other fathers were being feted on their special day, many were anxiously anticipating the October 1 call up.
