Goebbels assures the world Hitler “is working hard”

Bad news from the Russian front: The Nazis have retaken Kharkov. Mar 15, 1943_p:2And while Allied leaders press for more aid to Russia and for launching a second front, Home Front Texas Senator Tom Connally has asked a curb on US vows to Allies. He doesn’t want America involved in any world pacts. So, on the one hand we’re fighting a global war and on the other resisting involvement in institutions that might insure peace — or at least limit the extent of future conflicts. What about the whispers that Hitler doesn’t look so good lately? Goebbels assures the German people “…he is working hard, without Sundays off and without a vacation.” Speaking of vacations, American League baseball games will kick in April with an All Star game in Philadelphia on July 13.
