Operation Saturn

Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1942

The Soviets began Operation Saturn as part of their winter offensive against the Nazis who were still driving on Stalingrad. In North Africa, Axis forces were withdrawing in the face of the New Zealand forces. US dive bombers were attacked Japanese supply lines in the Solomon Islands. British forces were on the offensive in Burma. Good news but no end in sight yet
