Sabbath Peace

Friday, Dec. 4, 1942

Sabbath begins at sundown. And this Friday, my mother was lighting the candles in her own new home. In the warmth of the glow, she and my father could enjoy a temporary but precious shelter from the tempest of events outside. Plenty of time to face them another day…….

…… And they did!
